There is a kind of... a kitten wanting to come in my house right now... it's a very little grey tabby... I saw the kitten looking in my windows earlier this week so I've been sitting out food for him/her and is so thrilled after breakfast his morning, wants in the door... should I? I know a new kitten would have to go to the vet ASAP because I could not risk my kitty's health with letting in a stray and not checking for diseases, but, do I need a kitten?

Edit: Adorable tiny kitten has now been sleeping curled up against the door for 2 hours... ohhh, fffffuuu.... T.T This is how I ended up with my previous cats.

Edit again: This post is useless without pics!

Little darling! Y u keep running around when I open door?! T.T

This is my Bunny striking a pose, from last week or so. He says I cannot leave him out of a post about cats, because, he's mah baby. :3

The feline overlords have spoken! Resistance is futile!

I think it's more "Does the kitten need you?" more than "Do you need a kitten?"

Considering how delicate they are, I would at least take it in to foster until you can re-home it.

::nods:: Kitty could use some help whether or not I keep with me, but the part where I would theoretically part with a tiny purry kitten I find dubious... :P

My kitty Bunny and my love are both cooing over the kitten (and me too) so I think s/he will be welcome here, most likely.

The kitty got skittish with our morning routines, so didn't come inside, but is staying napped up against the door (it's a glass door so I can see, but I can't open without waking..). I gave breakfast and a water bowl and we'll see...

I may have to turn on my feline charming wiles, but I would say h/she will likely be catchable. LOL :)

Rather exciting morning adventure!

do I need a kitten?

WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THIS??!! Do you really need to be asking this? I think the answer is right there sleeping curled up by your door.

What is this "patience" you speak of? ^.~

I'm letting kitty sleep, has stayed napping on my porch literally all day today. :D Hmmm...

Hmm maybe it's your late kitty's little gift to you. I've always felt past pets always assist in some way to find another.

Aww!! That is a really sweeet idea. I though my kitty has probably been lonely being an only cat, except he never really did get along with Cleo. But, also, I would have felt weird about going out to get another cat for him to play with because I couldn't really know if they would get along beforehand, and I think it would be very important since he's so super shy. But now I can tell these two kind of want to play together. She's so shy and skittish, like Bunny is, but clearly wants to come inside and cuddle and play too! Aww, aww... so precious! So perhaps this is indeed the best thing that could happen... :)

Bunny is stunning - very nice fur and eyes and face. I'm glad you've decided to help the adorable little kitten. :) Poor baby looks like it could use some hugs and good meals. What are you going to name it?

Bunny looks like he could be on a calendar, doesn't he? :D Believe it or not, he's as kind and gentle as he is pretty... he's too sweet to even hurt a bug. I think he's probably a Hufflepuff kitty! I just love him to pieces! <3

I think so too! I am not sure about a name yet!

I used to have a Puff kitty too. I love the cuddlebunny kind of pet. :D

I bet a name will be easier to think of once you get to know the kitty better. I hope Bunny and new kitty get along. :)

Are you familiar with the chicken babyfood trick? If not, I have diagrams! Or, you could try offering hotdog bites with bread. A lot of strays subsist on such morsels and will respond with ankle rubs to offers thereof.

You might also try moving the breakfast dish or a warm bed (since it will be cold soon) inside/closer to you bit by bit so as to attain Kitten Kontainment.

Lemme know if you need help with any vet bills. I am always up for kitteh rescue.

Chicken babyfood, you say? I have not head that one!

The little darling went pretty much nuts when I offered the wet kind of kitty food for breakfast yesterday morning. I'm optimistic, I think it's only a matter of time before Operation Kitten Kontainment (XD) is successful!

Aw, you are such a dear! My love wants to take care of the kitty and can afford the vet bill, so no worries! :D

The little darling is so shy! I think the door napping message is pretty clear, definitely wants to stay here, and has been hanging around on my porch for over 24 hours now... but keeps running when I open the door... I think if I keep trying to be non-scary I will be able to get myself kitty! :)

For a cat lover, I am quite remiss in commenting to your cat posts. XD Had to come back to this one to say that your Bunny is gorgeously photogenic. Just such a beautiful cat.
